Amendment change to Bylaws

Change to Section 10.5 (Financial Reserves)

Current Text:

“The Society shall maintain financial reserves equivalent to one (1) year’s operating budget in a savings account and/or checking account, whichever yields a better return.”

Amended Text:

“The Society shall maintain financial reserves sufficient to cover six (6) months of operating expenses based on the most recent approved annual budget. Funds in excess of this reserve may be used to support projects and donations to the Bayard Cutting Arboretum, or any other reasonable expenses, as approved by the Board of the Society in line with the purpose of the Society”
